Chelsea are offering John Obi Mikel to Serie A clubs for just €6m (£4.8m).

It's reported Chelsea are offering John Obi Mikel to Serie A clubs for just €6m (£4.8m).

The Nigerian international midfielder has a contract with the Blues until June 2017, but is struggling for playing time.

According to Tuttomercatoweb, Chelsea representatives are desperately trying to offload Mikel to an Italian club this summer.
Considering the lack of interest in the 27-year-old, they have lowered their asking price to just €6m – around £4.8m.

However, there are still no apparent takers for the man who has been at Stamford Bridge since 2006.

Federal Government to negotiate with Boko Haram says Tambuwal

The Speaker of the House of Representative, Aminu Tambuwal has asked the President to negotiate with terror group, Boko Haram if that would secure the safe return of the kidnapped Chibok girls.
The speaker said this yesterday July 15th while receiving the leadership of the #BringBackOurGirls campaigner in his office at the House of Assembly.
"If negotiations is what would bring back for example Chibok girls, for Goodness sake, lets negotiate and save the children. Negotiation is not submitting......you are not just submitting, you are not. It is a strategy. So let's get these girls out and then if you want to confront them you go ahead and confront them and take them head on but whatever we need to do, we must do as a government to bring back these girls safely & alive" he said.
He urged the campaigners to continue with their demands for accountability.

- NFF says Keshi can go if he wants

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) will not stop Coach Stephen Keshi from vacating his post as Super Eagles coach, after the ‘Big Boss’, as Keshi is fondly called expressed his desire to step down following Nigeria’s ouster from the World Cup.

Vice president of the NFF, Mike Umeh spoke about Keshi’s impending departure and confirmed that they will not be standing in Keshi’s way as he has decided to quit.

“We cannot stop Keshi from moving if he wants to. He is a grown man and knows what is good for him. If he so desires a greener pasture, then we can’t stop him, it’s up to him to decide,” Umeh said.

He however denied claims that the NFF have not been supportive of the former Togo coach, saying, “It’ll not be fair to say we haven’t supported Keshi. We have given him tremendous support, more than anyone could imagine. So the thought that he hasn’t been adequately supported isn’t true.”

Umeh also spoke on the possibility of getting a new coach in time for the 2015 Africa cup of Nations qualifiers expected to start soon.

“I’m sure a new coach will come in immediately Keshi’s departure is finalized, so that shouldn’t be a problem,” Umeh noted.

Immediately after the loss to France, another NFF top gun, Deji Tinubu tweeted, ‘and off his goes to S.A’, which obviously confirms Keshi’s exit
